Cause Unknown is an instrumental, multi-genre, heavy metal project by Austin, Texas based musician, David Menendez. All recording, mixing, and mastering are done by David Menendez.

Ranging from thrash to doom to progressive sub-genres of metal, Cause Unknown has been releasing music since 2020 with the debut album, Ghost Metamorphosis. Then in 2021 with follow up release, Elements. Now, in 2024, Cause Unknown plans to release their third album, Throne Of Winter's Embrace.
